It is an education system, wherein people who wanted to pursue their studies without attending the school or college in regular curriculum, but can study at their own time through correspondence courses, online courses where their studies is based on study materials, audio, video messages, media and online reading methods. So, anyone can opt for this way of studies if they are unable to go to a full time school or college education. They can work and do these studies through distance education.

Distance education is the education one takes online. There is no classroom or fixed time schedule. It is mostly 24*7 for the convenience who has other regular work to fulfil.

If one is not in a position to attend a regular school or college, but wants to study, he can join a course in a college or university and through the lessons and guidance given by them, can complete the course at home. He can thus get his education through the distant education.
